The Benjamin & Esther Elesin Foundation Sponsors Academic Awards Event at FGC Sokoto, Nigeria

On March 14, 2022 we were proud to sponsor Academic Awards of Excellence for the students of FGC SOKOTO HIGH SCHOOL, Nigeria.

Central to the Foundation's main thrust is to be able to impact learning, and improve the quality of education where it is lacking. The Foundation is keenly interested in seeing the potential of students realized, encouraging them to find their voice and to see them succeed.

These events inspire the students to rise above their circumstances, and to value their education. They also lift up the teachers, giving them the encouragement to teach well. For them, they are gifts of gratitude from the Foundation.

Huge Kudos to our Volunteers

Our volunteers on the ground have worked tirelessly, making this event possible, and bringing in a distinguished speaker and presenter. They made sure the monetary gifts arrived to the families safely, by delivering the gifts in person, often travelling great distances to those families living outside Sokoto.

For some families the academic financial awards can represent an entire month's wage, impacting them in ways that are profound and meaningful.

The Foundation's goal is to bring hope and to be a light in this community.
